Reasoning through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Science, and Social Studies
The results of the TABE test determine if you are placed in ABE or GED classes. If your scores fall below high school level (NRS Levels 1 – 4), you will be scheduled in ABE. These classes include ABE Language Arts and ABE Math. They strengthen your foundational skills and prepare you for GED coursework. If your scores are high school level (NRS Levels 5 and 6), you will be placed in GED classes: Reasoning through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Science, and Social Studies.
No, test results cannot be given over the phone. You will receive your scores at orientation.
Yes, we have online classes for ESOL, ABE, and GED. You must have scored a level 3 or higher on the reading section of the TABE to qualify for online ABE classes.
You must be at least 16 years old and qualify for a waiver in order to take the General Educational Development (GED) tests.
We do not offer GED classes in Spanish; however, the GED test is offered in Spanish. Go to GED.com for more information.
In order to receive accommodations, you must self-disclose the disability and provide documentation.
The length of the program depends on your current academic level and how much time and effort you can commit to accomplishing your goal.
Adult General Education
AGE stands for Adult General Education. It includes English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Adult Basic Education (ABE), and General Educational Development (GED).
We have 2 semesters: Fall Semester (July – December) and Spring Semester (January – June)

No, however, agencies such as Career Source, Vocational Rehabilitation, and Childhood Development Services may assist with payment. We cannot guarantee their help. If you are homeless, you may qualify for a waiver with appropriate documentation.

Yes, students under the age of 18 must provide official documentation of school withdrawal.
Yes, all students must take a placement test. ESOL students will take the Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment Systems (CASAS); GED students will take the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE).
No, the placement tests are not pass/fail. They help us to determine your current level and customize a learning plan to meet your needs.
