The purpose of the combined Firefighting and EMT program is to provide the necessary training required for students to become certified firefighters, as well as licensed emergency medical technicians. The firefighter portion follows the curriculum provided by the Bureau of Fire Standards and Training. The EMT component of this combined program prepares students for certification as EMTs in accordance with Chap.64J of the Florida Administrative Code.
