Diesel Systems Technician 1

The 1,050 hour Diesel Systems Technician 1 program prepares students for a career as a Diesel Mechanic/Technician.  Diesel Mechanics may service tractor trailers, buses, or other vehicles utilizing a diesel engine.  The course includes mechanic/shop safety, maintaining and repairing diesel engines and electrical systems; reconditioning diesel fuel injection systems; overhauling diesel engines; and performing diesel engine preventive maintenance.  Employment opportunities for Diesel Systems Technician 1 program graduates include: Diesel Truck Mechanic/Technician, Bus Mechanic/Technician, Heavy Vehicle Service Technician, or Mobile Equipment Technician.

 

The content includes but is not limited to maintaining and repairing diesel engines and electrical systems; reconditioning diesel fuel injection systems; overhauling diesel engines; and performing diesel engine preventive maintenance.

Automotive Service Excellence Certifications in Diesel Engines (T2), Brakes (T4) and Electrical/Electronic Systems (T6)
