The Applied Information Technology program provides students with an extensive dive into computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and multimedia via hands-on activities and projects.
The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment or advanced training in a variety of occupations in the information technology industry.
This program focuses on broad, transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstration of the following elements of the information technology industry: technical and product skills, underlying principles of technology, planning, management, finance, labor issues, community issues and health, safety, and environmental issues.
The content includes but is not limited to communication, leadership skills, human relations and employability skills; and safe, efficient work practices.

Students may need to take a Basic Skills Exam no later than the sixth week of class. This exam will not affect your acceptance into the program. Please submit all official transcripts (High School, GED, Associates degree or higher) prior to the start of your program start date for possible exemption. Students will be notified after they have been accepted into a program whether or not they will be required to take the exam.
You will receive additional paperwork by email after applying online. Please allow up to two business days for the email to come through.
