The purpose of the Medical Coder/Biller program is to prepare students for employment as medical coders, medical coder/billers, and medical coding technicians. Instruction is designed to qualify students for employment upon successfully obtaining their Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification. The Applied Technology Diploma (ATD) that graduates will earn is equivalent to 26 credit hours, which transfer towards an Associates Degree in Health Information Management.
