About this course

Pre-Requisite: Rope Rescue Operations (Level I)

Rope Rescue Technician Level II is a course designed to train rescuers in high angle rescue/recovery. This course meets and exceeds NFPA 1006 Chapters 5 & 6.2. The student will be trained in troubleshooting areas, rope systems, anchor systems, raise/lower techniques, stoke basket operations, high line operations, pick-off techniques, knot passing and rope theory. Emphasis will be placed on safety, raising, lowering patient packaging, belay operations, as well as moving a victim in high angle environments.

Classes will be held from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Florida State Fire College.

Books: Will be provided for you on the first day of class.
