About this course
Structural Collapse Level II is an 80-hour course designed to train the rescuer operating in a collapsed building of heavy construction. This course meets or exceeds NFPA 1006 Chapter 5, & 9.2. The student will be trained in scene size up, building marking techniques, victim identification and removal, building stabilization, breaching/breaking and moving heavy loads. Emphasis will be placed on victim/rescuer safety, heavy construction and the utilization of multiple tools/equipment to achieve course objectives.
Classes will be held from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Florida State Fire College.
Pre-requisite: Rope Rescue Operations and Structural Collapse Rescue Operations Level
Supplies: Boots, helmets, gloves, eye and ear protection, dust mask or higher respiratory protection, long pants, long-sleeved shirts, hydration.
