On-Campus Salon Offers Hands-On Experience
To truly master a skill, first-hand experience is essential. Marion Technical College offers that hands-on experience to cosmetology students through our student-run salon. Open to the general public, the salon offers discounted services performed by cosmetology students, benefiting the community as well as those training to join the workforce. From applying theory and gaining practice to brushing up on customer service skills, the time our students are able to spend at the salon is the key to a successful cosmetology career.
Nails Specialty Program
Aspiring nails technicians train at MTC also and earn Nails Specialty certificate. For over ten years, we have refined this program to train some of the best nails specialists in as little as 14 weeks. The course includes instruction in safety and proper sanitation, manicuring, pedicuring, application of nail enhancements, art techniques, and more.
