USAR Confined Space Rescue Ops/Tech 4/15-4/19/2019 (9947)
Confined Space Rescue Level I & II is a 40-hour course designed to train rescuers in all aspects of a confined space emergency, including rescue and recovery.
Out of State Firefighters & DOD FF Equivalency 3/3-3/8/2019
This course meets the requirements of 69A-37.055 Florida Administrative Code – Florida specific requirements for Out of State Firefighters or DOD Firefighters who desire to challenge the Florida Firefighter Minimum Standards Course Examination. This will be a 32 hour course with an additional 8 hours available for the field work for Forestry’s S-130, S-190, L-180 for the students that do not have those classes. (Forestry’s 32 hours for the above classes are available on-line) Structural Collapse Awareness (on-line), FEMA I-100 and I-700 must be done prior to the class and a copy of the successful completion handed in the first day. Statewide emergency response plan, thermal imaging, positive pressure ventilation, company evolutions, air monitoring, firefighter safety and survival and new challanges will be covered.
Live Fire Training Instructor Refresher 3/8/2019 (9946)
This 8 hour course will review incidents that have occurred, cover program updates, legislative issues, practical applications, case histories, and new technologies and end with a live burn. The program will be required to be completed for renewal of the Live Fire Training Instructor certification.
Live Fire Training Instructor – 3/5/2019-3/8/2019 (9945)
This curriculum is designed to deliver a comprehensive live fire training program, within a safe and controlled environment, in accordance with NFPA 1402, NFPA 1403, and NFPA 1500. Both lecture and practical will be used allowing participants to apply knowledge of the above standards to training activities. Participants must have Fire Instructor I or greater certification prior to class.

Hazardous Materials Technician Hybrid Course: 2/11 – 4/1/2019 (9954)
In this course, the student will gain understanding of what hazardous substances are and the risks associated with them in an incident. Students will learn and understand the potential outcomes associated with an emergency created when hazardous substances are present as well as the ability to recognize the presence of hazardous substances in an emergency. They will also learn the ability to identify the hazardous substances.. The student will have an understanding of the role of the First Responder Awareness individual in the employer`s Emergency Response Plan, including Site Security and Control and the U.S. Department of Transportation`s Emergency Response Guidebook (ERG).
