US&R Task Force Leader 6/10-6/12
The Task Force Leader course is designed for those personnel responsible for the administrative and operational responsibilities of a US&R Task Force. The course addresses the challenges faced by the TFL from pre-deployment through demobilization. Students will learn about the task force organization and how to manage the 6 functional disciplines of a task force. This course meets or exceeds the objectives set forth by FEMA, uses FEMA curriculum where applicable and is taught by FEMA instructors.

USAR Technical Search Specialist 4/29 – 5/3/2019 (9956)
US&R Technical Search Specialist (TSS) is a 5-day 40-hr hands-on extensive course with core objectives based on the current FEMA technical search specialist course. Instructional staff utilizes a number of practical activities to ensure mastery of the technical equipment needed to locate victims in a structural collapse. Topics include role and responsibilities of the TSS, use of visual and acoustic listening devices, documentation, as well as GPS and mapping. Upon successful completion of the course, members will have obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities to fill the role of Technical Search Specialist on a US&R team.
USAR Operations Level Structural Collapse Rescue 6/17-6/21/2019 (9952)
Structural Collapse Level I is a course designed to train the rescuer operating in a collapsed building of light construction.
USAR Safety Officer 4/8-4/11/2019 (9957)
The task force safety officer course is a 4 day lecture and case study course utilizing the current task force safety officer curriculum. The course is designed to provide US&R personnel with the KSA’s to perform deployment team safety officer functions while operating at a disaster. The course is delivered via digital media and practical exercises that include FEMA documentation and tabletop exercises. Students will also learn to develop risk assessments, tactical plans (TAP’s) to include site safety analysis and form ICS 215A, as well as accident investigation. Comments from past students indicate the importance of this course not only for task force safety officers, but all managers and rescue specialists. This course meets or exceeds the objectives set forth by FEMA, uses the FEMA curriculum where applicable and is taught by a FEMA instructor.
