Employment of barbers, hairdressers, and cosmetologists is projected to grow 10 percent from 2014 to 2024, faster than the average for all occupations. The need for barbers will stem primarily from an increasing population, which lead to greater demand for basic hair care services.
In the state of Florida, Barbers may earn an annual salary between $18,284 and $27,664.* Nationally, Barbers may earn between $17,927 and $47,401 annually. **

• High school diploma—standard or GED strongly recommended.
• Interviews may be scheduled for applicants meeting criteria and deadline.
