As the saying goes, Better late than never, so there’s never a bad time to get organized and jump back into the right education plan. At Marion Technical College, we have all the resources needed to help you obtain your dream career heading into the New Year.

So, for 2017, why not make a resolution to achieve the education and occupational future you deserve, and let MTC help get you there?

MTC Admission Checklist

When getting started, it’s best to know exactly what you’ll need before engaging in the admissions process. The standard MTC admissions application is required, but there are other steps you’ll need to consider in the admissions procedure, including:

Admissions Information Session

Keep in mind that there are certain programs offered at MTC that will require professional references, documentation and assessments. Our information session not only gives you an opportunity to learn more about your desired program of study, but also culminates with filling out a standard admission application.

You will also need to provide additional documentation before your application can be processed. Be sure to have the following documentation with you when you meet with one of our admissions counselors:

  • Driver’s license
  • Social security card
  • Two proofs of residency (visit our Residency Page for more information about acceptable proofs of residency. If bringing copies: original documents may be requested for verification).
  • Copy of high school or GED diploma
  • Official high school or GED transcripts
  • Your student aid report (SAR)

MTC requires any applicants interested in a Career Certification Program to fill out the MYCAREERSHINES™ career assessment, as well.

Transcripts and Financial Aid

Official sealed copies of your high school transcripts, GED, or transcripts from other eligible institutions are required in your application. To be considered for any financial aid packages, you must also fill out a FAFSA form, as well as the MTC Financial Aid form. When filling out the FAFSA, be sure to use MTC code “031039”.

You can also learn more important information about our Basic Skills Requirements, to get a better idea of which standardized tests and certifications you may need before applying.

Are you ready to take the steps towards a better future? The application deadline for all July/August 2017 2017 MTC programs is April 6, 2017, or until classes are filled. For more information about MTC’s available programs, check out our Course Catalog, or call (352) 671-7200.
